Life & Early Years

Dr. Dinshah K. Mehta was born on 5 June 1903 in Bombay. As a child, between the ages of five and seven, he pondered the purpose of life and concluded it was perfection. His mother was from the Zarathusti faith; her devotion and the spiritual atmosphere of his upbringing shaped his path.

Spiritual Awakening

After 17 years of inner struggle, on 8 November 1953, Dr. Mehta accepted what he called “God Guidance”—revelations from the Guiding Mind. Though he had been agnostic, the teachings he received gradually led him to surrender to this guidance. The Society of Servants of God was registered as a charitable institution in India on 1 August 1956.

Principles of Life

Three sets of principles were received through Revered Dadaji for the benefit of humanity: the Seven Principles of Right Surrender, the Seven Principles of God Guidance through Force of Circumstances, and the Seven Principles of Karma Yoga. These guide seekers toward the Divine Self and a life lived by Divine Guidance.
